Privacy Policy

ChannelSync is a product of Peak Software (Pty) Ltd, South Africa. Last updated 18 October 2026. This is an initial policy and will be expanded before public launch.

What ChannelSync does

ChannelSync lets a business connect its social media and messaging accounts (for example Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, Threads, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon and WhatsApp Business) and manage posts, messages, comments and analytics from one place.

Data we collect

How we use it

Only to provide the service you asked for: publishing to the accounts you connected, showing you your messages and comments, sending the replies you write, and reporting analytics. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or train models on it.

Platform data

Data received from Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp), Google (YouTube), X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest and other platforms is used in accordance with each platform's terms and developer policies, including Meta's Platform Terms and Google's API Services User Data Policy, and only to provide ChannelSync features to the account owner who connected them.

Storage and security

Data is stored on servers operated by Peak Software. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to staff who need it to operate the service.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account is active. Disconnecting a platform account deletes its tokens immediately and its cached content within 30 days. Deleting your ChannelSync account deletes all your data within 30 days. You can also request deletion at any time; see Data deletion.

Your rights

Under POPIA, GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@channelsync.app.
